Downtown Tucson Neighborhood
Downtown Tucson Partnership strives to be the catalyst for making Downtown Tucson the place people want to live, work, and play; where new ideas happen; and that is the economic development and cultural epicenter of the region.
Top Things To Do Downtown
Downtown is changing rapidly. There is no doubt. Teaming with new life brought in by the streetcar, restaurants, apartments and other revitalization programs, Downtown is becoming a lively place to be, whether you like history or hip-hop, from
El Presidio del Tucson to the restored
Fox Theatre, to the
Historic Rialto Theatre, to the
Tucson Museum of Art & Historic Block or the
Children's Museum or just food and fun, you will find it here. Several new apartments and hotels have been built or are in the works.
Visit the
Hotel Congress, have a drink at the bar where John Dillinger and his gang hung out. Check out the hallway photographs.
The Cup Café has great Sunday brunches or head across the street to
Maynard's Market & Kitchen.
During the weekdays, for a good look at the history of Tucson, visit the Downtown History Museum, part of the
Arizona Historical Society. Once a month on a more quiet Sunday morning, we may give a "Walking" tour of Downtown and explain how this town of Old Pueblo came to be. Join us for Our
History and Libation Tour usually the third Sunday of each month. You will see Downtown Tucson as you have never seen it.
